Our INTI Yerba Mate comes from Oberá in Misiones, one of Argentina's traditional mate regions. There it is harvested in winter, processed traditionally, and then stored with patience.
Instead of artificially accelerating the ripening process with heat, this yerba mate matures slowly in wooden warehouses. This process even extends over a particularly long period of two years. This allows its character to develop at its own pace: milder, rounder, more balanced, and with a fine natural sweetness.
INTI's Yerba Mate consists of a classic blend of leaves, stems, and powder. This makes it ideal for traditional preparation in a mate cup with a bombilla.
Taste & Character
INTI Yerba Mate is made for all those who understand mate not just as a caffeinated beverage, but as a conscious ritual in daily life.
The slow maturation creates a softer, more harmonious impression. The typical green and strong notes of Yerba Mate are preserved, but appear less sharp. The result is a balanced mate with natural depth, gentle bitterness, and a slight sweetness.
Especially for people with an active lifestyle, Yerba Mate can be a real option: as a companion in the morning, while working, studying, on the go, or around sports routines. It can be easily integrated into daily life and offers a natural alternative for anyone looking for a caffeinated beverage with character, without losing the calm of a traditional mate moment.
Why aging is important for Yerba Mate
Freshly processed Yerba Mate can appear very intense, green, and harsh. During slow storage, certain natural components of the plant change. The yerba loses some of its initial sharpness and develops a rounder, milder character.
At INTI, the focus is not on haste, but on time: sapeco, drying, grinding, and then quiet maturation in wooden warehouses.
This creates a Yerba Mate for everyone who appreciates a natural, patient, and traditional character.
